Fibromyalgia Smoothie

This is a smoothie I do at least 4 days a week. Take note that you do not have to use all the same ingredients as I do as some fruits and veggies are only available seasonally. You do want to balance out the glucose that is in the fruits with some kind of green veggie and/or protein so that your blood sugar does not spike. Proteins include nuts and seeds or even a good protein powder will due. (Just be careful with protein powders as some have processed ingredients in them read the label before buying) As I stated in the video try to get organic but if it is not available or you can not afford it conventionally grown food is better than eating less nutritionally dense foods. To wash some of the pesticides off of non organic foods you can make a simple solution to clean them.

Good Green Habits for Washing Produce
  • Mix 3 parts water to 1 part white vinegar (3:1 ) in a spray bottle.
  • Spray on fruits and veggies to get rid of pesticide residue.
  • Rinse with water after spraying.

Ingredients

50/50 blend greens (In your salad section)

Kale

cilantro

1/2 a banana

cantaloupe

apple

unsweetened coconut milk

teaspoon of coconut oil

Turmeric

cinnamon

Chia seeds

Extras I do for my nutritional needs

half a teaspoon ashwagandha

a teaspoon of dried schizandra berries

organic coca nibs
