Most of us reading this blog post live in a society of instant gratification and do not take the time (because of social conditioning) to look deeper into our physical and emotional unbalances. We have been conditioned to go to a doctor that tells us what to do after spending less than 30 mins with us. They do not ask the important questions that can get to the root cause of any symptom or what we sometimes call DisEASE within the body.
The reason chronic illness and modern medicine do not marry well together is that each persons trigger or underlying cause of their bodies discomfort or condition is unique. The underlying cause is never addressed. Chronic illness is not a one size fits all “fix”. Modern day doctors throw everyone into one box and treat everyone the same once they are labeled with any condition. It does not help that they are controlled by insurance companies and their choices of treatment are manipulated by the greedy pharmaceutical companies that are only out to make money. This has caused a society (in most regions not all) of chronic illness at epidemic proportions and a decline of health in all aspects. Physically, Emotionally, and spiritually.
Finding the underlying cause of your chronic illness is something that you will have to be personally responsible for. We do not “Just get sick” with chronic illness. There is always a cause for our bodies crying out for help. Modern day doctors are not trained to heal the body. They are trained to treat and cover up symptoms. They get very little (next to nothing) training in nutrition and do not get trained at all in how our emotional and mental bodies are connected to our physical body and can manifest into real physical pain and disease if not addressed.
There is a better way! We are not familiar with it because of how we have been taught (conditioned) to deal with illness. We have limited beliefs about our amazing power and ability to heal because we have been told that it is impossible with certain conditions. Here is a good example: When you cut yourself do you believe that your cut will not heal? Or do you expect it to heal and your body will do it’s job? A simple cut can show you how amazing our bodies are when it comes to it’s ability to heal itself. You don’t think twice about the body healing the cut so it does. This is a simple example but this can happen on a larger scale if you are not blocked by limited beliefs.
Once we take on a belief system we believe it in every part of our bodies not just the physical but the emotionally and mental bodies. We than have a cap on our true healing potential. This does not just go for healing the body but all aspects of our life. The only thing that stops us from anything is our limited beliefs or perceptions. We are the only thing that can stop ourselves from healing. I am not saying this to make anyone feel bad I was there with you for years. You were taught this. You had zero beliefs or blocks when you were born. How you were raised, and all the worldly input (TV and education etc.) have been teaching you how to perceive and what to believe.
So how do I find the underlying cause of my illness?
Like I said earlier in this post the underlying cause of your chronic illness is going to be very unique. I can only help you break it down but the journey is yours. The path to true healing is powerful and it requires you to stand in your power and take personal responsibility for your health on all levels. Physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It is not for everyone. If what I am writing is resonating with you, you are ready and you should continue to read this blog post. If this post is causing you to feel defensive or angry you are not ready for this path and that is perfectly fine. We all come to this planet to have different experiences and you are just not aligning with this experience. I suggest if this post is upsetting you to not read beyond this point and live your life as fully as possible. <3
What was going on in your life when you became ill or what are you doing now that no longer aligns with you? Did you have a traumatic event in your life? Did you have a loss or chaos in your life that overwhelmed you and your body could not process what was going on around you? Did you get bit by a tic and your health continued to decline? Did you have a bad virus and did not seem to get better? Did you have a traumatic birth or death? Were you or are you being sexually, emotionally, or physically abused ether as a child, later in life, or now? Did you get vaccinated and seemed to decline afterwards? Were you or are you working a highly stressful job and were/are unhappy? Were you or are you shrinking your authentic self down to please those around you and to “fit” into your environment? Were you or are you in a relationship that reached it’s potential and are you staying in the relationship out of guilt or obligation? Were you in a bad accident and you have the belief that you can not heal from your injuries? Are you on several medications that the body does not recognize and it is reacting to it as a foreign invader in your body? Are you eating processed foods and refined sugars that are unnatural and are not meant to be in the body? Do you suppress your emotions or have you buried your emotions and are not expressing them or dealing with them? Are you holding on to anger or resentment over something in your past? Were you in a war or any other highly stressful experience/environment that you had to suppress your emotions to do your job and caused PTSD?
As you can see there are so many potential things that can trigger chronic illness and can be the underlying cause of any physical discomfort with our physical bodies. We are not just physical beings. We literally feel our emotional pain, suppressed emotions, and unreached potential physically if it is not deal with and acknowledged. If you have not read my blog post How Covering Up Emotions and Traumas Can Cause REAL Physical Pain I highly recommend reading it. Your body is not diseased it is disEASED and crying out for help and wants YOU to acknowledge YOU!
So I think I know the underlying cause of my illness. What do I do now?
First of all congratulations on taking your first step on your healing journey. Until we acknowledge what we were afraid to acknowledge and bring it to the surface for healing we can not begin the healing process. You are about to embark in a powerful process (NOT AN EVENT) that will empower you in all areas of your life not just physically. My best advice is to embrace this process and be kind to yourself during the unfolding of all that has been buried within you for all this time. This is the discovery of your true authentic self. Treat yourself with kindness but be like a stern parent that wants you to succeed and not fall back into your old thought processes and/or patterns.
Depending on what you believe is the underlying cause of your chronic illness will determine what the next step is. I always suggest people change their diets first and only put things that say “I love you” in your body. When we are filling ourselves with healthy foods that promote health and vitality to our bodies we are better able to deal with our emotional and mental aspects and challenges. It is now known that the stomach is the second brain. Although serotonin is well known as a brain neurotransmitter, it is estimated that 90 percent of the body’s serotonin is made in the digestive tract. In fact, altered levels of this peripheral serotonin have been linked to diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome, cardiovascular disease, and osteoporosis. So what you eat DOES matter. I also suggest with the help of your doctor getting off as many medications as possible when you are ready. Medications for chronic illness do not help the body heal. They create an unstable environment in the body because they are chemicals, unnatural, and cause more issues besides the ones you are trying to mask. If you have to take a medication temporarily (Like blood pressure medication or diabetic medication for type 2 diabetes) until you become stable with diet, it is wise to make sure you put it into your consciousness that this is a temporary crutch for a fixable issue and continue to work on fixing the situation rather than cover up the problem.
If you believe it is something physical like vaccine injury or a tic bite find someone in your area that is well versed in these these injuries and treats them naturally. Try to find someone that takes a mind, body, and spirit approach and deals with ALL OF YOU not just the physical.
If you have mental or emotional things that you need to deal with and bring to the surface you can do this on your own or with the help of a trained professional that can walk you through it. Until you deal with your emotions not matter how traumatic they are they will always resurface as physical issues within the body. It is not something to take lightly. You deserve to be healthy like you were before you became physically ill. It is not easy dealing with emotions we have buried and it is not easy changing our lives because we are not in alignment with our truth any longer. It can bring up a lot of fear and insecurities. These are not easy things to deal with but they are worth it when you come out on the other side. Remember you are NEVER stuck. There is only one thing that can keep us stuck and that is our limited perceptions and beliefs. It is time to break free from the imaginary chains that have been holding you down and start your healing process and become a free being again!
