This is the introduction the the new “You are what you eat” section on FibroTV.com. I hope to get as many people as possible interested in making health choices when in comes to food and get as many people as healthy as possible. You deserve to do this! You are worth it! I believe in you!
This is a smoothie I do at least 4 days a week. Take note that you do not have to use all the same ingredients as I do as some fruits and veggies are only available seasonally. You do want to balance out the glucose that is in the fruits with some kind of green veggie and/or protein so that your blood sugar does not spike. Proteins include nuts and seeds or even a good protein powder will due. (Just be careful with protein powders as some have processed ingredients in them read the label before buying) As I stated in the video try to get organic but if it is not available or you can not afford it conventionally grown food is better than eating less nutritionally dense foods. To wash some of the pesticides off of non organic foods you can make a simple solution to clean them.
Screw it! I am sick! I am going to eat what I want!
We have all said it and done it. I mean, if you have to live with chronic pain and illness why not at least enjoy the food you are eating and treat yourself to your favorite processed foods and junk foods? Why not just make the mac n cheese from a box, Ramen noodles, or microwave dinner? They are fast, easy, and taste yummy! “I feel like crap and do not have the energy to cook anything!!! I am not hurting anyone let me enjoy what I crave and my one last pleasure my food.”
“I am not hurting anyone” Wrong! You are hurting someone. You are hurting the most precious person on this planet yourself and making your symptoms and condition worse.
I know this sounds crazy but your body and I had a little conversation last night over the phone and there are a few things your body wanted me to talk to you about. Your body told me that he/she has been trying to tell you for years with increased pain, fatigue, sickness, and mood swings that you are not treating him/her right or with respect but you still have not listened or changed and he/she is getting worn out.Your body feels neglected and feels bad that it does not have enough fuel or energy to let you have a full and productive life that you deserve. He/she said you have tried to do the right things many times but when you do not see change in a matter of a few days or weeks you give up and it takes longer then that for years of neglect and damage to heal. Your body told me he/she would really like you to make a lifestyle change forever! Continue reading →
