As early as the 1930's it was theorized that constant or repeated exposure to an allergen put exhaustive anxiety on the body, including the immune system. Ultimately this exposure has a negative effect on the body's defenses and leaves it open to illness and other medical complications.

Overstimulation is such a problem for HSP's. It can lead to many illnesses. Also since people are born as HSP's they may also have some genetically based diseases. These links offer some information about it. http://www.hsp-stress-relief.com/human-genetic-diseases.html#axzz1lJeU9a4M and http://www.hsp-stress-relief.com/left-handed-people.html#axzz1lJeU9a4M .

I had never thought I was over sensitive -but I do fit the criteria, I have FM for3 years diagnosed and many years before. I took a counselling course and became a welfare officer, visiting people in their homes, for over 5 years until I had a nervous breakdown. I do not work now but write and make stuff and I have 3 dogs and four cats and they are the most relaxing thing and full of love for you I have closed myself off from the world at large and am only just recovering enough for the odd day out. Reading this all made sense to me.

Adding the Peppermint or Eucalyptus extracts to unscented candles in an office or the area where you work, or by using a reed diffuser can be quite effective techniques to help aid in concentration. Another unique method to incorporate essential oils and aromatherapy into your study/ focus time could be to rub the peppermint or rosemary oils into your book mark, for a constant, subtle fragrance, that will aid in concentration. Also, utilizing a cotton swab and gently applying either of these wonderful crucial oils to your light bulbs near where you study, do most of your reading, or a place you simply like to sit and think, can help increase your alertness and can help you evoke thoughts and ideas you could quite well be repressing right now.

Rita, I am the husband of a lady with fibromyalgia. Like your husband, I choose to stay with my wife and take care of her. That is what a loyal spouse does. I married her for better or worse and in sickness and in health, that was my promise to her and God five years ago. I have been with her for fifteen years now, yes I married her after she was diagnosed with fibro and lupus. I would be a real rat to leave her when she needed me the most. Rita you have a special man in your husband and you do deserve him. Remember he chooses to take care of you and love you. God bless both of you.

Was surprised one day when my adult son teared up and said how he wished I could be the way I was when he was growing up. And he wished i could be the grandmother to his daughter that my Mom had ben to him. I know how he feels as I felt that way when Mom became 90 and was no longer the person she had been. The anger, guilt and learning to accept and love her in her new form. I think t helped when I told him that.
